Indicator flasher Units and Additional Resistors for LED Light Upgrades

When upgrading your indicators to LED bulbs, you may find that the indicators flash too quickly on some models. This is because the new LED bulbs draw far less power than the standard bulbs, causing them to flash as if a bulb had failed.

Some cars also have 'bulb out' warning lights for indicators, tail lights or brake lights (such as many Volvos). Again, the lower power consumption of LED bulbs may cause the bulb warning light to come on for brakes or sidelights, even when the LED bulbs are working perfectly.

To resolve this problem, we now have resistor kits and replacement indicator flasher units. The resistors can be wired in line with the LED bulbs, and the flasher units are a straight plug-in replacement of the standard flasher unit, often located in the fuse box.
