BMW announces new flagship model
BMW’s new flagship model – the 760Li – will be launched in September, the car manufacturer has announced.
Due to be powered by an all-new 5,972cc twin-turbocharged V12 engine, the vehicle will also feature the marque’s eight-speed automatic transmission, which it states offers "outstanding" levels of refinement and performance.
In terms of design, the new model is described as both "stylish and discreet".
"To identify its flagship status, the kidney grille features an extra-wide chrome frame and side, whilst the chrome-plated gills boast a V12 model designation. Further signs of distinction are two twin rectangular exhaust tailpipes and chrome rain channels," BMW notes.
September 2009 has been confirmed as the release date for the 760Li and more information on pricing will be announced in due course.
Earlier this month, BMW explained its X5 M and X6 M vehicles – its first xDrive four-wheel drive cars – will go on sale on October 24th.
