Ferrari 250 GT Coupe Pinin Farina wins restoration prize
The Ferrari 250 GT Coupe Pinin Farina won the prize for best restoration at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este motor show this year, it has been announced.
In a statement, the marque noted that the jury, which was presided over by Lorenzo Ramaciotti and included a number of high-profile names from the automotive world including Lord Charles March and Patrick le Quement, was impressed by the vehicle.
Originally exhibited at the 39th Brussels Motor Show in 1956, the Ferrari competed in a number of races after being delivered to the Ecurie Francorchamps team in the same year.
"The full restoration, which encompassed both running gear and bodywork, was completed just a few days ago by Ferrari Classiche and returned the car to its original condition in every respect," the marque explains.
In other news from the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, Aston Martin unveiled its One-77 vehicle at the event. It went on the receive an award for best concept automobile.
