Science Museum puts Honda Insight “to work”

Science Museum puts Honda Insight

The all-new Insight from Honda is being "put to work" by the Science Museum, it has been announced.

According to the vehicle’s manufacturer, the motor is being used on a daily basis as part of the London attraction’s attempt to enhance its energy efficiency.

It will be used to chauffeur special guests around the facility, as well as to transport some of the most important book and manuscripts between the museum’s two sites in Wroughton – near Swindon – and Kensington in London.

As such, the museum benefits from reduced road tax, as the Insight only pays £15 in these charges.

Chris Rapley, director of the Science Museum, said that hybrid cars such as the Insight provide a "logical" step towards a zero-emission future.

Regarding the vehicle, he said: "It provides the museum with a new means of undertaking our core business in a responsible yet stylish way."

The Science Museum has a history dating back to 1857.ADNFCR-2370-ID-19155717-ADNFCR
