Toyota Verso named best small MPV
The new seven-seat Toyota Verso, with its sleek car lights and sporty shape, has been named as the best small MPV at the 2009 Fleet World Honours awards.
This is the third consecutive year the car has scooped the prestigious award, with judges impressed by the new model’s enhanced specification and safety features, as well as improvements to its Flat-7 seating system.
Commenting on the award, Fleet World editor Ken Rogers said: "Based on the Auris platform, the new Verso benefits from Toyota’s "Optimal Drive" technology, a package of features which increased power output by up to 20 per cent, while at the same time achieving reductions in emissions and fuel economy of up to 12 per cent."
Aimed at the family market, the Verso’s folding seats mean that drivers have load-carrying versatility and can easily accommodate bulky items.
In related news, Ford also won several awards, with the new Fiesta being named as the best small car and the Transit Connect scooping the gong for best small van.

I love this car! I’m glad it won, as it’s so comfortable inside. The gas mileage on it is also really good.

Conservatories Croydon I think you are underestimating Toyota they are great cars nearly as good as the classic Nissan Bluebird ZX Turbo.
Great article. There’s a lot of good info here, though I did want to let you know something – I am running Ubuntu with the circulating beta of Firefox, and the design of your blog is kind of flaky for me. I can read the articles, but the navigation doesn’t work so great.
Thanks for the comment! We check the pages in all the full release browsers, but its difficult to test all possible combinations of operating system and web browser. We’ll see if we can find out what happening is for you!
