Motor-mad couple have 'SEAT-themed' wedding

A car-crazy couple from Gartson had a rather unusual wedding ceremony recently, basing the big day around their beloved SEAT Leon Cupra K1.

Stephanie Garner and fiance Peter Janes, both 34, opted to host their nuptials at the historic Goodwood racing track in West Sussex and raced to the venue in matching models loaned to them by a local SEAT dealership.

As Peter waited at the alter with a chequered flag, Stephanie made her way down the aisle to the theme tune of the BBC’s Formula 1 coverage.

Continuing with the motoring theme, the couple decided against a traditional disco and instead, opted for a giant Scalextric competition.

Speaking after the ceremony, the new Mrs Janes said: "We’re both big motorsport fans, and so being able to have our ceremony at Goodwood was brilliant. Then, when it came to arranging a car, it was a no-brainer. Our K1 is Candy White and, for us, it’s better than any Rolls-Royce."

The SEAT Kupra features powerful Bi-xenon headlights and AFS dynamic bend lighting which ensures that the beam is always pointing in the direction that the car is heading.

Now, talk about crazyness… :-P Original, anyway.
I wonder where the guests were… In the balcony?? :-P

Next time I’ll get married, I will follow the idea. Just don’t know if my bride will like the idea of driving a Fiat Uno down the isle… :-S

What a great wedding that would have been to photograph. None of the weddings I have photographed have ever been to a race track. We once did one in hot air balloons though, if that counts!
