Top safety rating for Honda Jazz
Honda’s new Jazz has received the maximum five-star rating offered by independent testing body Euro NCAP.
In a statement, the manufacturer explained that this places the vehicle alongside its Civic and Accord models, which achieved the same ratings earlier in 2009.
The Euro NCAP rating scheme places a focus on a motor’s overall safety performance, which provides car bulbs customers with a single score that is easy to understand.
Passenger protection during impact to the side, front and rear of the vehicle is taken into consideration, as is child and pedestrian protection and the availability of driver safety aids.
Noting that it carried out research at its dedicated car-to-car crash testing facility prior to the release of the vehicle, the manufacturer said: "The Euro NCAP rating for Jazz reflects Honda’s commitment to passenger and pedestrian safety."
The Jazz also features Magic Seats, which are capable of being lifted up and down to offer road users more flexibility when it comes to seating and storage.
