Audi A8 scoops What Car? award
The Audi A8 has scooped a prestigious prize at this year’s What Car? Green Awards.
With its advanced lightweight aluminium build and FSI fuel efficiency, the vehicle won the Luxury Green Car category.
The What Car? test team commended the vehicle for its low levels of fuel consumption and emissions.
According to Audi, "the FSI direct injection technology feeding the 210PS V6 delivers its fuel with exceptional precision and negligible wastage, the unique-in-class multitronic continuously variable automatic transmission channels the power without the need for a fuel-sapping torque converter".
Furthermore, the vehicle undercuts the majority of cars in its class in terms of CO2 emissions and is free from the particles generated through diesel combustion, making it an ideal option for environmentally-aware motorists.
In other news which may interest those searching for car headlight bulbs, the Vauxhall Ampera was also honoured at the awards in recognition of its Volltec fuel system.
