Vauxhall unveils new Astra images
Vauxhall has unveiled the first interior images of the next-generation Astra, which is due to launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show later this year.
According to its manufacturer, the interior of the Astra marks a move towards "premium quality and design" in the compact car sector.
The car features "ambient lighting", with light points framing the gearbox surround and within the door recesses.
Ergonomic Sports Seats, which are standard in all Elite models, have lumbar support and improved tilt adjustment to ensure maximum comfort for drivers and passengers.
Car head light customers may also be interested to learn that the new generation Astra also has several clever storage solutions, to ensure that items such as CDs, maps, cups and first aid kits all have somewhere to go.
Company spokesman Max Kuncl commented: "It was important for the team not only to find places for the items to fit, but for the new Astra’s interior to still look great and maintain high quality standards throughout the cabin."
Other models in the Vauxhall range include the Meriva, Tigra and Antara.
