‘Best soft tops’ revealed
With the UK currently basking in a heatwave, Carcraft has compiled a list of the best convertible cars on the market.
According to the retailer, soft top cars currently account for eight per cent of all new and used car sales.
The Mini Cooper was named as the best convertible car, followed by the Mazda MX5 and VW Beetle.
"Its looks count for more than the driving experience, but few cars capture the joy of summer motoring than a VW Beetle and the wind in your hair," the retailer noted.
The Auti TT convertible and Saab 9-3 also made the top five, with the latter described as the best choice for motorists looking for an understated and "cool" drive.
In related news, figures released by British Car Auctions last month revealed that demand for convertible vehicles has risen across the country – along with prices – in recent months.
