White van men ‘worst drivers’
White van men have been named as the UK’s worst drivers.
In a recent poll by Auto Trader Compare, 100 per cent of those polled said white van drivers have the poorest standards when it comes to their motoring skills.
Young motorists and mums doing the school run also came in for criticism.
The survey also revealed that 37 per cent of men consider themselves to be better drivers than their female counterparts.
Auto Trader spokesman Matt Thompson said: "It’s good that most motorists recognise bad driving habits, both in themselves and other road users."
Overall, Londoners were voted as the worst group of road users in the UK.
In related news, a recent poll by Churchill Car Insurance found that female drivers are lagging behind when it comes to car maintenance knowledge.
Just ten per cent of men rate their knowledge as poor, compared to nearly a third (31 per cent) of female road users.
