'Thousands' expected to attend the Bradford Classic

More than 25,000 people are expected to attend this year’s Bradford Classic car weekend.

The event kicks off on July 18th and for the first time will feature four famous Le Mans cars from Aston Martin Racing, Jaguar Heritage and Ginetta.

One of the biggest car shows in the north of England, the Bradford Classic will also include an auction of rare models, as well as car memorabilia.

More than 150 classic and performance vehicles will go on display to the public, including a 1970s Monica.

Local councillor Khris Hopkins commented: "Each year we have tried to build the show and this year promises to be the best yet. Bradford and the surrounding area are famous for manufacturing cars with companies like Jowett and Ginetta."

Those shopping for wiper blades and headlight bulbs may also be interested to learn that experts will be offering a free ‘automobilia’ valuation service, in an Antiques Roadshow format. This will take place on July 19th.

The Bradford Classic is now in its fourth year.
