Honda cars ‘most reliable’
Those looking for a reliable car to get them through the economic downturn may wish to consider a Honda or a Toyota, it has been suggested.
Figures compiled this month by Warranty Direct show that Japanese vehicles lead the way when it comes to reliability.
Honda was found to be the most reliable manufacturer, with an incidence rate of just 10.59 per cent.
Cars produced by Mazda and Toyota also perform well, with just 13 per cent of drivers experiencing problems.
However, vehicles manufactured by Land Rover were found to be the least reliable, with 46.74 per cent exhibiting problems.
Duncan McClure Fisher, managing director of Warranty Direct, said owning a car can be a painful experience.
"Perhaps buyers should canvass for Health Warning stickers in the same way the industry has adopted low emissions tax band grading," he added.
In related news, research carried out recently by insurance provider Rias revealed that the majority of people are looking for ways to reduce their motoring costs.
