F1 racing car draws visitors in Germany

Car wiper blades customers might be interested to learn that a Manchester-based firm is hosting a Formula 1 exhibit at the Nurburgring motor-racing circuit in Germany.

Interactive exhibits and training simulation specialist EDM has officially opened the new attraction, which permits visitors to physically walk through the engine of the racing car.

The company, which is based in Newton Heath, competed against other industry insiders to be able to supply the vehicle – along with a range of other exhibits – to the Ring Werk action museum.

Deemed to be a highlight of the venue, the vehicle’s oversize engine is transparent and measures 7 m by 6 m by 5.

It constitutes one of the largest displays ever produced by EDM in the 38 years that the firm has existed.

In other F1 news, Michael Schumacher fans would no doubt have been disappointed by a statement issued by the star on his official website, which said that he will not be returning to race with Ferrari this season after all.
