David Gower “confirmed” at motor industry dinner
Car bulbs customers may be interested to learn that it has been "confirmed" that broadcaster and former England cricket captain David Gower will be attending the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF) Annual Dinner 2009.
The sportsman and commentator with Sky television will be speaking alongside shadow chief secretary to the Treasury Phillip Hammond MP, who will be providing political commentary at an occasion which is tipped to involve "good food, fine wine and [a] variety of top-class entertainment".
RMIF director Sue Robinson said that members of the organisation will want to ensure they are at the classic event "for what promises to be a great night".
The UK’s second highest ever runs scorer in test match history and OBE-winner Gower, who the Daily Telegraph reported to have built a spa-and-gym complex at the bottom of his garden in 2005, took part in 18 test match 100s and 32 tests as England captain.
