Bob Dylan ‘could voice your satnav’
Written by Matthew Davies
Singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has entered into negotiations to voice a satnav system, he has confirmed.
In news that could result in drivers’ wiper blades working alongside the unmistakable dulcet tones of the performer, Dylan confirmed the move on his late-night radio show Theme Time Radio Hour, which is broadcast on BBC Radio Six.
"You know I don’t usually like to tell people what I’m doing, but I’m talking to a couple of car companies about the possibility of being the voice of their GPS system," he explained to his listeners.
The singer – whose singles include Things Have Changed, Blowin’ in The Wind, If Not For You and Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door – joked about the advice that he may offer to drivers who obtain the system.
He suggested that he might say something along the lines of: "Left at the next street. No, right. You know what? Just go straight."
