Safety-conscious car bulbs customers will no doubt welcome news that the Skoda Yeti has received five stars in a new test administered by Euro NCAP.
The manufacturer said that the result is reflective of the motor’s "excellent" pedestrian and child occupant protection parameters.
Features on the motor include an "airbag on" display to tell the driver that the safety aid is working, as well as ISOFIX technology for the attachment of child seats to rear seats.
Commenting on the news, Dr Eckhard Scholz, Skoda Auto board of directors member responsible for technological development, said that the company undertakes many tests to ensure that systems are up to scratch.
"To ensure maximum possible protection, the system must be in perfect harmony. We use state-of-the-art technology and test methods, as safety is one of the key aspects in developing new Skoda vehicles," he added.
In recent days, Volkswagen’s new Polo also received five stars from Euro NCAP.
