Toyota has revealed its new Auris HSD Full Hybrid Concept includes a range of technology designed to minimise the vehicle’s impact on the environment, including LED front and rear car lights.
Due to be unveiled at next week’s Frankfurt International Motor Show, the model will be built at the manufacturer’s UK plant near Derby and should arrive in showrooms up and down the country in the second half of 2010.
According to the carmaker, the auto marks a key milestone in its plans to offer all of its mainstream models with full hybrid systems.
In addition to the vehicle’s LED lights, the auto boasts a number of other features aimed at making it more eco-friendly.
The manufacturer used the front end as an example, pointing out it has been redesigned to make the car more aerodynamic in order to boost fuel efficiency.
Meanwhile, Toyota is also due to unveil a new Prius Plug-in Hybrid Concept at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.
