The car lights on a new Audi model help to enhance the auto’s safety credentials along with its appearance, it has been claimed.
According to the manufacturer, the headlamps on the R8 Spyder are an "unparalleled world first" for the company.
Light-emitting diode (LED) technology is used for the both the high and low beams, as well as daytime driving illumination and turn signals.
Audi stated the headlamps offer low energy consumption and last considerably longer than standard car bulbs.
In addition, the items were described as boasting excellent light distribution.
Meanwhile, the fact the bulbs have a colour temperature of 6,000 Kelvin makes them similar to natural illumination from the sun, the manufacturer explained.
The company stated this makes them easier on eyes when driving in the dark.
In other news, Audi has fitted its Q7 SUV with a clean diesel system, which helps to reduce the amount of nitrogen oxide released into the atmosphere.
