Drivers urged to be wary of deer

Motorists who replace worn car bulbs and windscreen wipers at the earliest opportunity to ensure they have the best view possible while at the wheel may be well advised to heed a new road safety warning.
The Highways Agency has urged people to be on the lookout for deer.
It explained there are thought to be 74,000 collisions involving this animal every year.
These accidents often prove fatal for the deer and sometimes for occupants of the car as well.
In light of this, motorists are being urged to keep their eyes open for the animals in areas where there are signs advising that the creatures may run into the road.
Wildlife scientist professor David Macdonald said: "We really need drivers to slow down and watch out, particularly when deer are more active – in autumn and spring and at dawn and dusk."
In other news, the Highways Agency recently reported a worrying number of Brits are breaking down after running out of fuel.
