Volvo technology may complement high quality car lights

Motorists who appreciate that even the brightest car lights might not help them if a pedestrian just steps out into the road in front of them may be impressed with new safety technology from Volvo.
The manufacturer has come up with a braking system that can detect the presence of a person in a vehicle’s path.
If travelling at less than 15 mph, a car fitted with the device will automatically come to a halt if the person behind the wheel does not react quickly enough.
The Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake and Pedestrian Safety system is due to be unveiled officially in 2010, when the new S60 is released.
Volvo’s safety expert Thomas Broberg said the technology is cutting edge.
"To our knowledge, none of our competitors have made such progress in this area," he stated.
Meanwhile, Volvo recently claimed it was working hard to ensure its battery-powered cars are just as safe as its other models.

I am glad to know about the Volvo technology. Car lighting should be high quality. So it is very beneficial for us for safe driving. Anyways keep it up and keep sharing.
