Mums urged to get car lights checked

Written by Susannah Mayers

Motoring mums have been advised to get crucial vehicle parts, including car lights, checked out before winter arrives.

The Foxy Lady Drivers Club claimed it makes sense to do this before conditions on the road start to deteriorate.

It stated mechanics can examine a vehicle’s tyres, oil and coolant levels, battery and car lights.

The group suggested booking an auto in at a local garage could prevent a breakdown on a cold winter morning when the kids are stuck in the back.

It also claimed a vehicle health check might save female drivers money in the long run.

Founder Steph Savill stated: "An experienced mechanic will spot minor mechanical problems and safety issues before they become expensive emergencies."

In other news, previous research conducted by the Foxy Lady Drivers Club found a quarter of women felt patronised when buying their last car from a dealership and almost half felt it necessary to take someone along for support.
