People who buy the updated open-top Audi R8 Spyder will find it features brand new car lights, it has been revealed.

The manufacturer explained for the first time ever the auto boasts all-LED headlamps.

Other features of the revised model include a Bang & Olufsen audio system, DVD satnav, heated seats, leather upholstery and iPod connection.

In addition, the car comes with seatbelt-mounted microphones that are designed to make it possible for the vehicle’s occupants to hold a conversation on the phone even when travelling on the motorway with the top down.

Prices for the auto start at £109,580 on the road and motorists will be able to start placing orders from next month.

The updated model made its UK debut at Audi’s new retail centre in West London this week as part of the outlet’s inauguration ceremony.

Last month also saw the car exhibited at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.
