RING XENON MAX – A WORLD FIRST
Light just got 100% brighter!
Ring Automotive has pushed the boundaries of technology and developed a world’s first. The Xenon Max is the first vehicle bulb to produce 100% more light on the road compared to a standard bulb.
This increased performance allows to be seen earlier and more clearly at a distance of 75m on a dipped beam, giving time to react.
According to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, 40% of road accidents occur at night. This represents more than 82,000 casualties between the hours of 7pm and 6am.
Two contributing factors for this high rate are fatigue and a decrease in visibility.
The Ring XenonMax range uses precision designed filament technology, plus a Xenon gas mixture, to concentrate the light exactly where it is needed. The bright white light improves driver comfort by reducing eyestrain that can lead to driver fatigue.
The 100% more light on the road also provided better reflection from road markings and signs, as well as making it easier to see more vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists.
The Ring XenonMax has the widest range of bulbs to fit all vehicle types and their entire front lighting, whether main beam, dipped or fog lights. The bulb types available are H1, H4, H7, H11, HB3(9005) and HB4(9006). All these bulbs are a straight replacement for the existing bulb so no modification is required. Even though these bulbs give are 100% brighter they are fully ‘e’ marked and road legal.
The XenonMax range takes lighting to the next step. Ring has placed itself at the forefront of vehicle lighting so motorists can benefit from the lastest innovation in headlamp performance.

How much would this bulb cost?
It depends on the bulb size you require (e.g. H1, H7 etc) but they are typically priced around the £20-£25 mark. Click on the bulb size link in the above article to see the current prices on our website.
This sounds great but, I think the newer cars on the road bulbs are too bright already I am surprised that they keep trying to make them brighter, the way I see it is you might aswel have full beams on all the time, or go down to your local football club and ask to borrow there flood lights !!!!!

That’s a very good point you make. It highlights the importance of good quality upgrade bulbs, not just brighter for the sake of being bright. There is a huge difference between “bright bulbs” and “glary bulbs”. There are too many cheap and nasty bulbs around (usually sold on our favourite auction site!) which are not aligned properly and give a lot of glare. A properly aligned headlight and bulb can be far far brighter than they are now without giving glare and appearing over bright to oncoming drivers.
