New personalised registration plates go online in November
Motorists that have bought new car headlight bulbs but still want to spend more money on their car might be interested to hear that the DVLA’s ten-series of personalised registration plates will be available to view online on Monday (November 2nd).
DVLA Personalised Registrations believes the series, which identify vehicles registered from March 1st 2010, will open up a whole new avenue of private plates and will go on sale on Tuesday, December 1st.
A recent survey showed despite being introduced in 2001, motorists are still unsure of the date recognition system within the current style of new vehicle registrations.
The poll, conducted by DVLA Personalised Registrations, showed only 17 per cent of the 1,004 people surveyed correctly identified that the current 09 and 59 registrations, correlating to vehicles registered from March 1st and September 1st 2009, will be superseded by ten and 60 respectively.
There are over 31 million registrations currently available to buy online, but at a minimum price of £245 motorists might be better off saving their money and just investing in some spare car light bulbs.
