Claron launches new Bluetooth audio head unit

Written by Richard Sinclair.

Motorists that love everything about their cars, from simple car bulbs to complicated sound systems, will be interested to learn that Clarion – the leading manufacturer of in-car audio, multimedia and satellite navigation solutions – has added to its current range of built-in Bluetooth audio head units, with the release of the CZ309E.

The new unit offers greater integration with mobile phone or personal digital assistant (PDA) functions, including hands-free calling, mobile phonebook access, and call log recall.

An in-built 4 x 40 watt high-power amplifier drives a high-quality audio reproduction, while four preset high quality (HQ) settings (pop/Rock/Classic/Flat) and a plus ten decibel boost option deliver a tailor-made in-car audio experience.

Priced at around £179, the Clarion CZ309E is available from all Clarion appointed specialists across the UK.

The Department for Transport stresses the importance of hands-free gadgets, such as Bluetooth headsets, and said research has shown that those using a mobile phone without a hands-free kit while driving are four times more likely to crash.
