Fleet Engineer seminars teach operators how to 'achieve cost reduction goals'

Written by Richard Sinclair.

Commercial vehicle operators who know where to go for cheap car bulbs but want to save even more money might be interested to learn about The Freight Transport Association’s (FTA) Fleet Engineer seminars.

The seminars provide up-to-date advice to people wanting to take advantage of developments in vehicle design and fuel technology, which will support wider business efficiency and their cost reduction goals.

Andy Mair, FTA’s head of engineering policy, said: "The industry is on the brink of a series of major changes in the way compliance standards are tested and emissions are reduced through engine technology."

He gave the example of plans by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) to overhaul testing facilities and said these have the potential to yield important efficiency benefits for operators.

VOSA was formed on April 1st 2003 following the merger of the Vehicle Inspectorate and the Traffic Area Network division of the Department for Transport.

The FTA seminars include key advice from industry experts, informing people about forthcoming vehicle engineering legislation changes, enabling them to cut costs, improve safety and protect company reputation.ADNFCR-2370-ID-19450378-ADNFCR
