Mazda2 to make North American debut at LA Motor Show

Written by Richard Sinclair.

Mazda Motor Corporation’s Mazda2 for the North American and Canadian market is to be unveiled at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show at the beginning of December.

Features of the Mazda2 include dusk-sensing car lights that automatically turn on when it starts to get dark, while its sport models also have rain-sensing window wipers.

Jim O’Sullivan, president and chief executive officer at Mazda North American Operations, said: "Mazda2 will be true to everything that makes our cars stand apart from the competition: it will be stylish, fun-to-drive and a heck of a value. In short, it will be the definition of Zoom-Zoom."

The vehicle will go on sale in the US and Canada from the end of next year 2010.

The LA Auto Show is taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from Friday, December 4th to Sunday, December 13th.

Many other vehicles will be making their North American debuts at the show, including the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 and the Lexus LF-Ch Premium.ADNFCR-2370-ID-19467042-ADNFCR
