Specifications of new Honda CR-V announced

Written by Tom Benjamin.

Honda has announced that its new-look Honda CR-V will have a cleaner and more powerful 2.2-litre diesel engine.

Honda’s CR-V, which goes on sale in January 2010, will be built at Honda’s plant in Swindon.

Noise, vibration and harshness levels have been improved with the addition of sound deadening around the engine and cabin.

The vehicle also comes with headlight washers, a leather steering wheel and gear knob, front fog car lights, rear parking sensors, and a USB connector for an iPod, over and above the SE model.

The 2.0-litre petrol CR-V is Euro 5 compliant, but still produces 150PS at 6,200rpm and torque of 192Nm at 4,200rpm, as in the previous model.

Starting price for the petrol models is £20,175 (2.0-litre SE) and £22,135 for the 2.0-litre SE Diesel model.

Honda is taking steps to reduce its impact on the environment, by making efforts to recycle materials and conserve resources and energy at every stage of production.ADNFCR-2370-ID-19471735-ADNFCR
