Check windscreen wipers regularly, drivers advised

Motorists should do regular checks of their windscreen wiper blades in the run up to Christmas to ensure they are not worn, according to a list of ten top winter motoring tips.
Website lovemoney.com recently published its list of top tips and said that ensuring wiper blades are in good condition means they are better equipped to deal with heavy rain storms that could hit the UK this winter.
The website also advised drivers to ensure that all front and rear lights are clean and working and to replace and bulbs that are faulty of have blown.
Lights should be checked regularly during the winter as the poor weather means they can get dirtier, according to the website.
Earlier in the month, Motor Codes’ service and repair garages announced that they are sharing winter motoring advice with their customers to ensure they stay safe on the roads.
One of the pieces of advice that Motor Codes’ staff are giving motorists is to ensure windscreens are completely clear of ice or frost before setting off on a journey.
