Actor’s Porsche recovered thanks to tracking device

Actor Danny Dyer’s Porsche Cayenne has been recovered thanks to a tracking device after it was stolen earlier this month.
The car keys for Dyer’s vehicle were stolen from his home in Essex as him and his family slept upstairs.
A stolen vehicle recovery device, which is made by Tracker and is not much bigger than a car bulb, was fitted in the Porsche allowing police to find the car an hour-and-a-half after it was reported stolen.
Stuart Chapman, Tracker’s police relationships manager, said: "Mr Dyer is lucky that his car was fitted with our state-of-the-art tracking security technology. In addition, we are the only stolen vehicle recovery provider working with all 52 police forces in the UK, which proved vital in this case."
Dyer said he was "amazed" at how quickly his car was recovered.
Tracker’s devices use Very High Frequency radio technology.
This means that vehicles parked underground, inside a garage or in a shipping container, can still be tracked, unlike the GPS-based products that rely on being able to see the sky.
