Bevan provides HGV customers with road-side repairs

Bevan Group is providing Total Accident Management’s heavy goods vehicle (HGV) customers with an innovative new mobile repair service that will reduce costs.
Total will be provided with the services of 15 mobile engineers across the UK who will be able to do the majority of HGV repairs on the road-side, which could include fixing broken windscreen wiper blades, without the vehicles having to visit a body shop.
This will reduce repair costs as well as the amount of time the vehicles are off the road for.
David Hughes, Total Accident Management’s operations director, said: "This approach is already proving very popular with our HGV customers as it has cut down on rental and repair costs.
"The quality of Bevan’s work is excellent. Only 49 per cent of our HGVs now visit a body shop for more serious repairs."
Earlier today the Department for Transport announced a new action plan to improve parking for HGVs across the UK.
The plain aims to improve the standards of existing lorry parking spaces and to create more facilities and spaces where required.
