Chevrolet has announced details of its forthcoming mini, the Spark, which, it claims, combines efficiency with vibrancy.
Scheduled for a spring 2010 launch, this latest addition to the growing range of small cars on the UK market will see motorists offered a range of models.
At the bottom end of the range, the entry-level Spark will come with a 1.0-litre engine and a five-speed manual gearbox, while the Spark LS boasts a 1.2-litre engine, silver trim detailing and chrome-effect grille surround.
Chevrolet explained: "The coolest new mini car in town is set to offer value for money that’s as enticing as it is vibrant good looks!"
However, it is likely to be the safety features installed by the US manufacturer that prove to be one of the biggest selling points of its new mini.
As well as six airbags, the Spark also comes with market-leading car lights, including front fog light, and recently achieved a four-star Euro NCAP crash test rating.
Founded in Detroit in 1911, Chevrolet continues to be the biggest-selling of all General Motors brands of all time.
