Audi set for star-studded A8 birthday launch

Audi is gearing up to celebrate its 100th birthday in style with the star-studded launch of its new A8 in Miami.
The eagerly-anticipated new car will be given its world premier in the Florida beach city, with Hollywood actress Lucy Liu set to be on hand to host the special event on Monday night.
According to the German manufacturer, its A8 combines "fascinating sports flair, luxurious comfort and innovative technology", with innovative car lights, wiper blades and in-car navigational systems all set to come as standard.
The event is also due to be attended by a number of the world’s hottest artists, designers and music and film stars and members of the public will be able to catch up on the proceedings on Audi’s website the following day.
The upcoming new-look A8 will feature the company’s ‘Audi Lane Assist’ system, which automatically sets the appropriate car lights off should a driver attempt to change lanes without signaling first.
Widely considered as Audi’s flagship car, the second generation of the four-door model boasts a 5.2 FSI V10 engine, capable of producing a top speed of 153mph.
