Ford enjoys 19% sales boost

Those proudly polishing the car headlights of their new Ford are not alone, as new figures have revealed that the car company experienced boosted sales of 19 per cent in November, compared to the same month last year.

The figures, from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, showed that the company’s bestseller in November was the Ford Fiesta, with more than 21,000 of the vehicle being sold last month.

Nigel Sharp, managing director at Ford Britain, said that the figures "confirm the strength in-depth of our product line-up".

"A continuous flow of fresh, new models and technology is key to this strength – this month we are revealing the second of our sub-100g CO2/km models, with the latest Ford Focus ECOnetic joining the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic," he added.

Earlier this year, the Ford Fiesta was named Car of the Year 2009 and Best Supermini by What Car magazine.ADNFCR-2370-ID-19496819-ADNFCR
