Online vehicle sales ‘increase by 99.6%’

Motorists can get a good offer on car bulbs online, but vehicles themselves are also decent value on the internet, new car sale figures suggest.
Car buying website AutoeBid.com has reported a 99.6 per cent increase in sales this year and has predicted that one in four cars will be bought on the internet by 2015.
Amin Saleem, chief executive officer at AutoeBid, said: "Cars are a big transaction for anyone, not least those nervous about online security."
He said this is the reason that many people buy online. "You can’t get duped by a dealer, you can’t lose any deposit and your details are not passed on or sold to any third party," he explained.
Earlier this month Vauxhall announced that it sold 128 per cent more cars last month than it did in November last year.
The car manufacturer sold 6,643 vehicles last month, according to figures from the Society of Manufacturers and Traders.
