Kwik-Fit releases Wall of Shame calendar

Not doing regular checks of vehicle features such as car bulbs and tyres can lead to road accidents and Kwik-Fit has revealed some of the most dangerous tyres it has come across in its annual Tyre Wall of Shame calendar.
The calendar features twelve images of tyres in very bad condition, including some that have almost no tread left and some with sidewall ruptures caused by under inflation.
David White, customer services director at Kwik-Fit, said that one of the worst examples that they saw was a tyre from a family hatchback, which was right down to the steel core.
"People shouldn’t forget the importance of their tyres – they are literally what keep their cars on the road. Checking them regularly is one of the most important safety measures drivers can take," he said.
Automotive website Carsite.co.uk recently advised drivers to make sure tyres are correctly inflated and have plenty of tread left to make driving easier during the current poor weather.
