Honda’s new offering, the CR-Z, which has daytime running car lights, has made its world premier in the US.

The vehicle premiered at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit yesterday (January 11th).

Boasting a six-speed manual transmission and clean, efficient petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, the CR-Z offers good fuel economy in the form of a car well suited for urban driving.

Tom Gardner, head of marketing at Honda UK, said: "Kart-like handling and direct steering will make it great fun to drive, but the hybrid system means exhaust emissions are kept low.

"With the torque boost of the electric motor, it’s ideally suited to ‘point-to-point’ driving in British towns and cities."

The European version of the CR-Z has front fog car lights and daytime running car lights, which include eight car bulbs (LEDs).

Chevrolet’s Aveo RS show car is also making its world debut at the show this week.ADNFCR-2370-ID-19552898-ADNFCR
