Porsche’s 911 GT3 R, which has rear LED car light clusters, is to make its world debut at the Autosport International show at the Birmingham NEC.
The car was developed for the racing series, based on the international FIA GT3 regulations.
It weighs just 1,200kg (2,646lb) but has a larger 4.0-litre six-cylinder ‘boxer’ engine, which delivers 480bhp.
"Since we announced our intention to launch the 911 GT3 R, demand has been huge," said Uwe Brettel, head of motorsport sales.
"The number of GT3 R vehicles we had planned for 2010 is almost sold out," he added.
As with all second generation versions of the 911, the new 911 GT3 R boasts LED rear car light clusters but also includes many new features, such as flared wheel arches.
Ford’s all-new Galaxy, which has new-look fog car lights, is soon to debut at another motor show, being held this month in Brussels.
