Hybrid Kia models will arrive in the UK in the near future, shortly after on-road testing of its hybrid vehicles begins in Britain later this year.
Kia hopes to commercialise liquefied petroleum gas hybrid cars in Korea at some point in 2010, with the manufacturer currently working on fuel cell vehicle prototypes in the country as well as California.
It was announced earlier this week that the 500,000th car had rolled off the production line at Kias Zilina plant in Slovakia.
