Bosch Aerotwin comes top in ADAC windshield wiper test

Boschs Aerotwin windscreen wiper blade came top in an ADAC windshield wiper test of ten products.
The Aerotwin was found to have the best wiping result in all test conditions and was the only windscreen wiper blade to be categorised as "very good".
It had to prove itself in tests of wiping quality in summer conditions (20 degrees C) and winter conditions (minus eight degrees C).
The Aerotwin also showed good quality, not only when new, but in a wear test and after artificial subjection to sunlight.
Boshch said that the ADAC concluded that "when buying wipers, it is well worth paying a little more for a good quality product, as the high-quality and slightly more expensive products performed better in the test than the inexpensive ones".
Lancashire County Councils road safety group recently advised motorists to replace any windscreen wiper blades that are not in good condition before taking their cars in for an MOT.

I have always used Bosch, as they are consistently the top-rated wipers. However I was this time recommended to buy online from a Manchester firm named Highbank-Car. They make their own wipers which are sold exclusively online, thereby cutting out the middleman and keeping the cost down.
The last pair of Bosch wipers I bought cost me around £16; these cost me a fiver and are superior in every respect to my Bosch ones! I suggest you include them in your next test…you will be pleasantly surprised. The only wipers I’ve ever bought which are completely silent even on a dry screen!
Bosch are good quality, but you do pay a premium for the brand. To save money, have a look at the ABD range – our own brand wiper blades at http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/ABD-Wiper-Blades-Complete-Range/
These are manufactured for us to OEM specifications, but are generally priced much lower – from around £4 at the moment. They are available in single and multi packs, in standard, spoiler and flat beam types.
