Motorists planning on selling their cars should replace worn windscreen wiper blades to ensure they receive the best price for their vehicles, according to Lovemoney.com.

A vehicle with a dirty windscreen or worn windscreen wiper blades can affect the appearance of a vehicle, making it less desirable to a potential buyer, Rachel Robson suggested in her piece for the money-saving website.

Ms Robson also advised motorists to get any windscreen chips or cracks repaired as they can decrease the value of a vehicle by up to £300.

"Again, by ensuring there are no bad dents or scratches in your car, you could boost the value by as much as £200 to £300 per bumper or panel," Ms Robson continued.

In a similar piece for automotive news website Mibz.com, Liviu Anca advised motorists to replace any broken car bulbs before trying to sell their vehicles and to avoid counterfeit car bulbs by buying from a reputable retailer.ADNFCR-2370-ID-19596829-ADNFCR
