Details of the Nissan Juke, with boomerang rear car lights inspired by those found on the 370Z, have been revealed.
The Nissan Juke boasts features such as a high waistline, slim side glass graphics and a coupe-style roofline.
As well as these sporty design features, the vehicle also includes SUV-like elements, such as wide tyres and extended ground clearance.
"Juke brings a sense of adventure to the car market. It offers something entirely different to the traditional B-segment vehicles and cements Nissan as a car maker prepared to do something different," said Andy Palmer, senior vice-president of product planning at Nissan Motor Co.
At the front of the vehicle, thin slashes contain running car lights and turn indicators frame the upper half of the bonnet, while the main and dipped car lights are mounted lower on the nose of the car, drawing inspiration from the auxiliary lamps of rally cars from the sixties and seventies.
The vehicle will go on sale in October this year and is to be assembled in the UK at Nissans Sunderland plant.
