Many lottery winners choose Vauxhalls

After scrutinising every feature of a vehicle, from its car lights to interior technology, many UK lottery winners select Vauxhalls as their new vehicles of choice, a survey has suggested.
Market research company Ipsos MORI surveyed 100 National Lottery winners who had won at least £1 million and quizzed them on what brand of car was at the top of their wish lists.
Surprisingly, Vauxhall was ranked fourth favourite, ahead of brands such as Jaguar, Range Rover, Audi and Porsche.
Some 15 per cent of those surveyed bought a Vauxhall with their winnings and 36 per cent said they bought a car before visiting either an estate agent or even the high street shops to spend their winnings.
Andy Gilson, marketing director at Vauxhall, said: "It goes to show that, while exotic brands like Ferrari and Rolls Royce may feature further down National Lottery winners shopping lists, theyre still a pragmatic group at heart – but one that still recognises quality and value!"
Vauxhall announced recently that it is to unveil its Flextreme GT/E concept car, which has signature LED car lights, at the Geneva International Motor Show next month.
