AA offers courses for those not confident driving when car lights are required

Motorists who are not confident in driving when car lights are required are being invited to take part in free driving refresher courses.
The AA Charitable Trust for Road Safety and the Environment has launched the programme of courses following the discovery that nearly half of UK motorists feel they would benefit from some extra training when it comes to driving.
This was revealed in a survey carried out by the AA and Populus for the trust.
Edmund King, the charitys director and president at the AA, said: "The car is a lifeline for many people in our society, yet for some the quality of their life is affected due to lack of confidence behind the wheel."
He went on to say that the free courses will not only help those afraid of driving at night when car lights are required, but those who are frightened of driving at speed or on motorways and those who are not confident when it comes to parking.
Earlier this month, AA Insurance revealed that, over the past three years, the number of claims for pothole damage, which could include cracked car light casing, increased by more than 600 per cent.
