Kwik-Fit offers free pre-bank holiday car lights check

Kwik-Fit is offering free pre-bank holiday vehicle checks, which could include a car lights examination, to AA members.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the AAs roadside patrols may be affected by strike action over the coming bank holiday weekend (May 1st to 3rd) so Kwik-Fit are offering the checks to give motorists increased confidence about heading out on the roads.
According to Kwik-Fit, the AA would normally deal with around 40,000 breakdowns over the May Day weekend.
David White, customer services director at Kwik-Fit, said: “Batteries and tyres are areas where some pre-travel checks could easily prevent problems on the road.”
He recommended people to check the tread and pressure of their spare tyre as well as the four in-use tyres and to ensure they have the right tools with them in the vehicle.
Before the Easter holidays, the AA advised motorists that they should ensure they have a spare set of car bulbs with them before setting out on the roads, telling HGVIreland.com that driving with only one working car headlight bulb can be “lethal”.
