Citroen unveils Metropolis with streamlined car lights

Citroen has unveiled its newest offering – the Metropolis, which has streamlined front car lights and a plug-in hybrid drivetrain.
The vehicle was created by Citroens international design team, which has been based in Shanghai since 2008.
It will be on show in the French Pavilion at the Shanghai World Fair from May 1st to October 31st.
The Metropolis produces CO2 emissions of just 70g/km, which is around a fifth of that produced by a conventional engine with equivalent performance.
Citroen claims the vehicle to have "origami" quarter-lights, which "appear to float in the air" and also house car bulbs.
The vehicles cabin is visually elongated by chrome touches around the side windows and it also has some signature Citroen design flourishes, such as a concave rear window.
Earlier this month, another of Citroens vehicles – the Nemo, which has halogen car bulbs in its headlamps – was crowned the winner in the iVan Awards Light Van category.
