Honda car bulb-fitting plant opens doors to corporate customers

Posted by Tom Benjamin

Honda invited more than 300 customers from leasing companies and fleets to its plant in Swindon last week, where car lights are fitted to its vehicles.

These customers were able to see the changes that had been made at the factory in order for it to succeed through the period of reduced sales and production brought about by the recession.

Graham Avent, manager of corporate operations at Honda UK, said: "It was fascinating for our guests to see how the production operation works first-hand, and to learn how the plant has been managed during the difficult conditions of the last year."

He went on to say that the companys corporate sales team took the opportunity to explain its corporate strategy for the future to the customers during their visit to the production site.

Last month, the public got its first glimpse of the new Honda CR-Z, which has sweeping front car lights that include eight LED car bulbs.ADNFCR-2370-ID-19760512-ADNFCR
