Fords Southampton plant has handed over 56 Ford Transit 300 short-wheelbase vans, which have large lens car lights, to the AA.
Steve Ives, AA chief engineer, said: "They are all on their way to be fitted with the necessary equipment and livery and will soon be an integral part of the AA AutoWindshields fleet."
These Ford Transit vans are part of the 247 that the AA ordered earlier in the year. The majority of the other 191 are to be used as roadside repair and recovery vehicles.
The vehicles large lens car lights help make driving easier when visibility is reduced.
Customers can also choose to have automatic front car lights, which turn on when sensors detect a reduction in daylight conditions.
This means that the driver does not need to manually turn their car bulbs on at dusk, at night or when going through a tunnel.
The van also boasts a facia-mounted gearshift, a drivers armrest and adjustable lumbar support.
