Citroens Survolt concept racing car, which has LED car bulbs, made its debut at the Le Mans Classic event last weekend.

The all-electric vehicle was piloted by experienced female racing driver Vanina Ickx.

“I am very proud to have participated in this unique project. On the track it felt really good. Its a real race car, with a very promising potential for the future,” she said.

The Survolts two electric motors provide as much as 300bhp, which can bring the car to a top speed of 162mph and it can go from zero to 62mph in less than five seconds.

Its twin 140kg lithium-ion batteries can cover 124 miles before they need to be recharged, which can be completed in just two hours with a specific power supply, or ten hours on the standard 220 volt network.

The vehicle boasts two-tone, fuchsia and charcoal grey paintwork and it offers both “comfort and refinement” on the interior, according to Citroens website.ADNFCR-2370-ID-19887957-ADNFCR
